Before it gets hot / 暑くなる前に

I went for a ride of about 45 km.

I heard that it would be sunny every day this week and even hotter over the weekend, so I went for an early morning bike ride.

45km程走ってきた。

今週は、毎日晴天続きで週末は更に夏日となると聞いていたので、早朝にサイクリングをしてきた。

My favorite view. When I look at the river and mountains from this bridge, it reminds me of the scenery from my hometown in Japan that I used to gaze at as a child. When I told my daughter about it, she said she also loves this view and always stops to look at it whenever she passes by here.

My kids and I share similar interests, but moments like this really make me realize that we’re parent and child after all.

私の好きな眺め。この橋から川と山々を見ると子供の頃眺めていた、日本の故郷の光景を思い出す。それを娘に話したら、娘もこの眺めが好きでいつもここを通りかかるとこの眺めを見ているらしい。

私の子供達とは趣味も合うのだが、このような時はやっぱり親子なんだな～と感じる。

I made it home safely before it got too hot.　

暑くなる前に無事に帰宅。
