Cycling on the beach

もう5年程前の写真。娘とアメリカとの国境近くのビーチでサイクリング。お気に入りの場所です。

北米大陸の西海岸、カナダ・アメリカとの国境地域には無数の小島が点在しているので湖のような静かな海岸です。駿河湾の海を見て育った私には最初は驚きました。でも潮風のベタベタが苦手な私は、この静かな海が好きです。（笑）

This photo was taken about five years ago. My daughter and I were biking on a beach near the U.S. border. It's my favorite place.

The west coast of North America, near the border between Canada and the United States, is dotted with countless small islands, making it a calm coastline that resembles a lake. Having grown up looking out at the sea in Suruga Bay Japan, I was surprised at first. But since I don’t like the sticky feeling of the sea breeze, I actually prefer this calm sea.😅

 飲み物と軽食を持っていき、ビーチで休憩。このような所で食べる物は何でも美味しく感じ、とても贅沢な時間です。

We brought some drinks and snacks and took a break on the beach. Everything tastes delicious in a place like this, and it’s such a luxurious moment.

若者のカップルがおりました。素敵

The young people were on a date. How lovely.🥰

勿論パスポートは必要ですけど、ここから国境まではすぐ。自転車や徒歩でもアメリカへ渡れます。

Of course, you'll need a passport, but it's just a short distance from here to the border. You can cross into the U.S. by bike or on foot.
